My Reflection II

History repeats itself. The conditions now are just the same as before. Nothing has changed since the last grading.
For me, this grading is a blast from the past. It reminds me of our experiences during the First grading like being in a hurry with the projects and activities, copying each other's notes, last minute reviews, once-a-week class...feels like deja vu, doesn't it?
I think the condition just got worse because we only  had one lesson and one quiz throughout the grading unlike the previous grading, we had many. But still, we're glad we managed to extract even a single drop of  essence of this grading. .

For our second grading, all we tackled about are HTML. It stands for Hypertext Mark-up Language. It is the main mark-up language for creating web pages and other information that can be displayed in a web browser. It is written in a form of HTML elements consisting of tags enclosed with angle brackets. These "tags" are the building block of all websites. They are very important because the purpose of a web browser is to read HTML documents and composed them as web pages. So without these tags, there won't be any websites you can visit.
Next grading, I will do my best to prevent it from becoming the same outcome such as the First and Second. I will pass my projects early so that I won't be in a rush when the deadline is near. I will quit being dependent on my classmates  by writing my own notes. I will review my lessons more often so that I won't  have to last minute review before the quiz. This way I won't have to worry about my grades from getting low.
I am looking forward to dig deeper on HTML and tags. I just hope we won't have to miss any more meetings in TLE because I want to learn more about it.

"Unravel the Causes, Build the Solution, Empower Science Clubbers into Action"

"Undo the causes". What are these causes? This is the very first question coming out of one's mind why globally we have natural calamities. But I want to stick to this country's problems. First, lack of self discipline. I couldn't understand why is it difficult to discipline one's self. But one thing for sure about this is lack of education. If only people, especially the poor and the needy have education, it could be better for them to understand and apply discipline among themselves. It shows most of the time they are not concern what ever happens to their environment. What they know is that they just want to live, no plans, no ambitions, no directions. Just like doing everything they want and come what may.
Government organizations and even NGOs try their best to bring the environment to survival. An example is Ms. Gina Lopez of Abs-cbn have come her way for many years now to regain the Ilog Pasig and "esteros" in Manila. She tries very hard each year to bring back the beauty and cleanliness of Ilog Pasig through "Run for Ilog Pasig". In some other places still during heavy rains and typhoons the problem remains the same-garbages from everywhere. But what is good about Ms. Gina Lopez is that she continue her battle to preserve the river.
Here in ISNHS, Science clubbers can also do something like what SSG has done. Many years ago and still going on here is, every student picks up garbage before going out of the campus gate every afternoon classes. It helps ISNHS look beautiful and clean. Just a proof that in behalf of so great number of student, still we can keep our campus presentable to the eyes of everyone. For this reason I salute ISNHS students for disciplinary action turned to be a solution well done.

My Teacher,My Hero

When you hear the word "hero", what comes into your mind first? Iron man, Batman, Juan Dela Cruz...these are my wild guess.  One doesn't need to have cool outfit, supernatural powers nor fight bad guys to prove he is a hero, he just have to be someone who serves as a good influence to others, does good deeds in his own free will and thinks others first before himself. For me my heroes, other than my parents, are my teachers.

Ever since, teachers are heroes. Leaders of the nations undergone training from the teachers. I say this because education is the basic foundation to succeed in every goal  pointing to a direction of a better vision. You can't be a doctor, a nurse neither president if you don't have education. Because to be one of these people you should have something in your brain and teachers are best providers of  the ideas to be one of the professionals.
To be a teacher, you should possess great patience to handle students. To deal with students many hours everyday is not a simple joke. To think, students spend most of their times with the  teachers than with their parents. Well and good if the students are easy to deal with. But if they are those who give them pain in the head you cannot blame some teachers in the news who hit the students because they feel they are already fed up. This is the reason why teachers are heroes!

My Modern Day Hero

When I was just a child, I always loved watching cartoons especially the ones that has superheroes. As far as I can remember, those cartoons were Superman, Batman, Ben 10, Power Rangers and many more. I dreamed that one day I would become a superhero. As I reach the age of 8, I got bored of cartoons and learned that superheroes don't really exist in the real world. That discovery broke my heart and shattered my dream.
When I was in elementary, my HEKASI teacher discussed to us about the Philippine History. She told us how the Spaniards conquered our country and enslaved the Filipinos for 333 years. She also told us how the Filipinos broke free from the invader's hands and took back our country.I discovered that heroes do exist, although they are not "super". Heroes like Jose Rizal, Lapu-lapu, Bonifacio and many great heroes started a rebellion against the invaders and succeeded. All of them sacrificed their lives for the sake of the Filipinos.  My spirit was lightened, I had a new dream to meet these courageous heroes. But sadly, Rizal and the others lived many years ago. My dream will always remain as a dream.
In a mature age, that's when it hit me. All this time I wanted to meet a hero personally but they are actually by my side since the moment  I was born.
My heroes are my parents! I said this because it is true. Without them, I would not have existed. When I came into this world, they were the first two people who took care of me. They were awake for countless nights to make me stop crying. They fed me, bathed me and even changed my undies. They gave me all the things I needed. They are my first teachers-they taught me how to read and count, and  good manners, discipline and moral. When I started to go to school, they helped me in my assignments and projects ,and helped me understand the lessons. They work all day to meet our daily needs. As I grow, I learned to stand on my own but still they are always at my side ready to assist me when I fall.
Mama, Papa, you guys are my Hero! Thank you for everything you've done for me. I love you guys so much! I owe you guys a debt of gratitude.
